Department
Duties
Financial Market Business Group
  • Coordinate and supervise the trading performance and budget execution of the Proprietary Trading Department and the Futures Proprietary Trading Department.
  • Plan out and supervise the trading strategies of subordinate units.
  • Set and manage the goals for subordinate units.
  • Formulate and execute the trading incentive plan for subordinate units.
Proprietary Trading Department
  • Matters regarding proprietary trading of securities on stock exchanges or OTCs using own funds.
  • Expend own capital to acquire and dispose of overseas financial products that have been permitted by the competent authority.
  • Matters regarding execution of investment decisions and review of trading and transaction.
  • Examine the ownership stake and construct hedging strategies for the futures such as hedging proportions and hedging amounts.
  • Buy and sell a variety of fiscal commodities domestically and in overseas markets.
  • Make use of own capital to carry out risk-hedging transactions with index derivatives for the securities possessed.
  • Trade ETF-related products with own capital using trading modules.
  • Utilize options, spot, convertible corporate bonds, and securities lending instruments to execute strategic trading activities.
  • Investments related to proprietary business approved by the competent authority.
Futures Proprietary Trading Department
  • In charge of proprietary trading of derivative financial products like futures and options.
  • In charge of trading foreign futures and options that have been permitted by the governing authority.
  • Engage in the market making business as required by the competent authority.
Brokerage Business Group
  • Coordinate and supervise the operating performance, budget execution, cost control, and business plan preparation of the Channel Business Department, Corporate Business Department, Consulting Business Department, Comprehensive Product Business Department, and Digital Technology Department.
  • Plan and set up operating bases.
  • Set up and oversee business oversight system and incentive structures.
  • Organize and perform brokerage advertising campaign.
  • Design and implement personnel professional development and training initiatives.
  • Propose and advertise an array of commodity objectives.
  • Arrange and execute the various projects.
Corporate Business Department
  • Undertake the entrustment from corporations and their related parties to trade domestic and foreign securities; take charge of matters related to futures introducing broker business, securities lending, non-restrictive lending, and trading of financial products approved by law.
  • Develop and maintain corporate customers.
  • Hold earnings calls and seminars at home and abroad for TWSE/TPEx-listed companies.
  • Plan domestic and foreign visits for TWSE/TPEx-listed companies.
Digital Technology Department
  • Suggest, assess, plan, and execute the Company’s digital development strategy.
  • Plan, implement, and promote the digital platform, assess the need for subsequent update of version, and troubleshoot.
  • Interview customers to find their needs and devise designs tailored to their needs.
  • Plan out and promote program trading strategy.
  • Offer digital services to help customers with digital platform usage issues and respond to and manage online messages.
  • Formulate and carry out digital business promotion and facilitate cross-industry partnerships.
  • Help branch colleges with trainings, promotion, and troubleshooting with respect to the digital platform
  • Align with the regulations for promotion of digital business and create, revise, and manage regulations.
  • Administer and maintain the Company's social network platform.
  • Submit copies of advertisements and literature for review by associations.
  • Assess whether to take part in pertinent digital marketing awards both domestically and internationally, create copywriting, and register for contests.
  • Update the contents on the digital platform in line with regulatory revisions by the competent authority, test the launch of the updated platform, and ensure all channels are aware of such updates.
  • Craft a tutorial and training program for digital sales personnel.
  • Plan and manage digital business.
Channel Business Department
  • Taking charge of the management and supervision of the entire Brokerage Department and each branch.
  • Take charge of matters concerning the settlement and delivery operations of the brokerage business of the headquarters and branches, and matters concerning establishment of a customer ledger within the customer’s settlement account.
Brokerage Department and Branch
  • Undertake to purchase and sell securities on stock exchanges or Over-the-Counter markets on behalf of clients.
  • Matters concerning the settlement the transaction mentioned in the previous paragraph.
  • Undertake to purchase and sell foreign securities on behalf of clients.
  • Act on behalf of domestic insurance and life insurance companies to accept customer insurance purchases.
  • Accommodate customers' desires to purchase or cash in domestic or foreign funds.
  • Matters concerning customer visits, meetup, and business and market expansion.
  • Promote securities subscription and underwriting.
  • Promotion and marketing of domestic and foreign futures and options, bonds, electronic transactions, underwriting business, domestic structured commodities, etc.
  • In charge of financing facilities in connection with the securities business, securities lending and borrowing, non-restrictive lending and borrowing, and financial commodities permitted by law.
Consulting Business Department
  • Offer securities investment research, analysis, and consulting services.
  • Customer-oriented project service.
  • Suggest investment portfolio.
  • Counsel customers on a variety of financial products.
Department of International Finance
  • Accept orders to trade foreign securities (sub-brokerage), including foreign stocks, foreign bonds, and off-shore structured products.
  • Take charge of settlement and delivery tasks with respect to the sub-brokerage business and accept orders from customers at the sub-brokerage trading room.
  • Analysis of financial market and strategic planning for the development of new businesses and new products.
  • Regulatory compliance and process planning for various financial products.
International Finance Department
  • Promotion of financial products.
  • Incentivize competition planning and execution. Planning and implementation of employee education and training and marketing planning.
  • Business promotion effectiveness analysis and strategy formulation.
  • Participate in the planning and optimization of electronic trading systems.
  • Coordination of cross-sale business of financial wealth management products.
  • Collect information on international financial markets, provide financial products research reports, and assist the Channel Department in promoting business.
Capital Market Department
  • Assist in IPO operations and assessment work for companies to be floated.
  • Plan out fund-raising activities and carry out assessment work for public companies.
  • Provide financial planning service and consulting service for public companies.
  • Operations concerning placement, issuing, and underwriting of securities.
  • Act as a recommending securities firm.
  • Primary or secondary listing of overseas business on TWSE or TPEx.
New Financial Product Department
  • Issue call warrants and put warrants and structured commodities approved by the competent authority.
  • Research, design, issue, and trade novel financial products, and hedge the transaction risks.
  • Promote and sell novel financial products and assist in marketing activities.
  • Utilize options, spot, and securities lending instruments to execute strategic trading activities.
Fixed Income Product Department
  • Take charge of buying and selling domestic and foreign government, corporate, financial, international, beneficiary, and asset-backed securities, including repos and reverse repos.
  • Responsible for providing counseling and underwriting services for businesses wishing to float their corporate bonds on the primary market.
  • Broker government and corporate bonds in the secondary market.
  • Take charge of exchange of convertible assets and dealings of convertible corporate bonds on the primary and secondary markets.
  • In charge of the business relating to interest rate derivatives like trading interest rate swaps and interest rate options.
  • In charge of business relating to structured commodities whose issuance is approved by the competent authority.
Stock Registration Department
  • Preparation, promotion, development, and execution of agency stock affairs business.
  • Aid public companies in processing mandatorily-required stock matters, notifications, and declarations.
  • Assist in matters regarding shareholder meetings, ex-dividend and ex-rights, and book closure.
  • Handle general stock affairs having to do with shareholders.
  • Register shareholder information, manage it, and provide query services.
  • Consult on regulatory framework on stock affairs.
International Securities Business Branch
  • Issuance of foreign currency corporate bonds and other debt certificates by the Company to individuals, legal entities, government agencies, and financial organizations both in and outside Taiwan.
  • Conduct commission agency, brokerage, and agency business of foreign currency denominated securities, or other foreign currency denominated financial products approved by the competent authorities, for natural persons, juristic persons, government agencies, or financial institutions within or outside the territory of the ROC.
  • Conduct borrowing or lending of funds in connection with securities business, and buying and selling of foreign currency denominated securities or other foreign currency denominated financial products approved by the competent authorities, with other financial institutions, natural persons, juristic persons, government agencies, or financial institutions outside the territory of the ROC.
  • Underwrite securities issued outside the territory of the ROC.
  • Take charge of the business of foreign currency derivatives.
  • Trade foreign currency as an agent for customers.
